Northampton Becomes "Doghampton" For a Day

Billed as "Not Your Typical Dog Show" more than 200 dog owners and pets filled the Northampton High School gymasium for an afternoon of events and prizes. Dave Ratner owner of Dave's Soda and Pet Food City was Master of Ceremonies for the events, some of which included Funniest Ears, Best Fetcher, Fastest Tail Wagger and more. All canines received free biscuits, toys and prizes from the sponsors' booths.

DAN congratulates the sponsors and especially VINS (Volunteers in Northampton Schools, Inc.) for making the event not only a great success but great fun for all.

PETCO FOUNDATION Continues It's Support of Animals

This past Christmas Season,The Petco Foundation once again sponsored its Tree of Hope with individual Petco stores selling ornaments which were posted on their store windows to raise money for animal welfare groups.

Larry Rinaldi, Manager of the Enfield Petco Store, selected The Dog Adoption Network as one of the organizations they supported.

Thanks to the efforts of the Petco employees, especially top fundraisers Erin Tuttle and Eric Shroeder many animals will benefit from their hard work.

This year as in the past, PETCO will be devoting a special weekend in April to spotlight adoption groups in their stores. "THINK ADOPTION FIRST NATIONAL PET ADOPTION DAYS" will be held the weekend of April 8th and 9th at your local Petco Stores. Look for the DAN Booth at the Enfield store!

The Good Dog Shop Says Farewell

After 8 years of operation serving rhe canine community Michael Diamond has decided to close shop. His last day will be March 31st. After emailing and phoning his loyal customers of closing bargains, many came by to wish him well and take advantage of his closeout specials. If you are in Northampton before March 31st, please visit him at 18 Center St. Northampton, MA.
