Petco Partners Inspired by Their Pets

For the third year in a row our Petco partners at the Springfield, Holyoke, and Enfield, CT stores have made a special effort to fundraise for DAN and other rescue groups. When asked why the managers and employees make that special effort to help they usually reply that they are inspired by the relationship they have with their own pets.

Holyoke Petco Manager, Laurie Moriarty loves her dog "Shalimar". Stacey Wellman has two cats, "Smokey" and "Sunny". Erich Mann has three cats, "Jigga", "Vida" and "Herminie".

Because of their yearly financial help, DAN is able to maintain our three informational booths at the Springfield, Holyoke and Enfield, Ct. Stores. Money collected also helps maintain our websites and support pet adoptions.

New Animal Shelter Gets A "Lift"!

Many times during the week, volunteer groomers Bev and Carla have quite a challenge on their hands, especially washing big dogs that can't be lifted into the sink. Recently, this task has become alot easier due to a new hydrolic grooming table donated by the special Dog Adoption Network "Shelter Fund".

New table makes it easier to groom bigger dogs too! (Carla with dog)Now that's a blow dryer!New table makes Bev's grooming much easier on the backOK - all showered and shaved now i just need a place to go!!

The new table is just a small gift of appreciation to Beverly Kagan who tirelessly and lovingly grooms our "best friends" with no compensation except the hope of their finding a new home.

Enjoying the new table Go ahead, laugh! I bet you're pretty funny looking in the shower too!
