Brandy's Happy Ending Like most puppies, Brandy always wanted to play, but a handicap prevented her from joining in the fun. Although she started walking shortly after birth, she now drags her hind legs. Brandy came to the attention of Charlotte a volunteer walker at the Center for 11 years. On July 11th, Charlotte brought "Brandy" to get fitted for a wheelchair at "Eddie's Wheels For Pets". That was made possible through the generosity of Cynthia, a fellow volunteer at T. J. O'Connor who provided Charlotte and her husband with the funding for Brandy's new wheels. According to Charlotte, Brandy is quickly adjusting to her new family, environment , and lifestyle. "Brandy's very happy here...playing and constantly wagging her tail. She's very smart and already knows her name. She's a real sweetheart....very affectionate and gives lots of kisses!!!" There's lots of hope for Brandy. Her veterinarian says her left hind leg has working muscles and nerves. The next possible step for her is physical therapy. Who knows....maybe whe won't need her wheels someday! But whether or not she walks, Brandy has a happy life ahead of her, thanks to the generous hearts of Charlotte and Cynthia.
