At the last Board of Supervisor meeting held June 8th, 2002, Director Barbara Hays stated that equipment for the surgical room had been ordered and she hoped that their neuter/spay program would be started by July 1st. Dr. Lerner will be providing veterinarian services. The Center is hoping for a veterinarian on staff 1-2 days per week.

Adulthood Manners Class starts June 23rd with Kim Balboni as trainer, 6 weeks for $85.00 on Saturdays.

Volunteers are needed for Saturdays now that vacation time has arrived (Please go online for application). Volunteers at the last meeting discussed safety issues regarding outside runs. Dogs are digging under the fencing and there is no protective covering for runs. The use of tarps to shield dogs from heat and sun was discussed.

The next Board of Supervisors meeting is July 13th 2005 at 3:45.
For more information on dogs AND CATS available for adoption, volunteer applications, and training classes please visit their new website at www.tjoconnoradoptioncenter.com
