Animal Lovers Converge On Pet-Expo

Heather, Larry, and MelodieOn Saturday, October 28th, hundreds of dogs, cats, and animal lovers jammed into the Hartford Expo Center for a day of fun, information gathering and animal competitions. In the thick of it all was Enfield Petco Manager, Larry Rinaldi and his "Saturday Foundation Crew". Spinning the "Wheel of Chance" in which everyone who played won a prize, Larry in a strong and firm voice shouted out to the crowd, "Come on Folks, the animals are the real winners, that's why we're all here, because we love animals!".

With the help of his assistants, Heather and Melodie, the Petco booth raised hundreds of dollars for their foundation.

Many rescue groups were represented including Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, and the Connecticut Humane Society with their mobile Spay Neuter Bus. A special booth featuring "The Dog Doctor", Dr. Elissa M. Edson, Canine Behavior & Psychology doctor with a specialty in training and breeding answered many questions about behavioral problems from attendees.
