MSPCA Tree Lighting

MSPCA Tree lighting at Eastfield MallAdministrators, volunteers and staff of the Springfield MSPCA joined with animal lovers in the lighting of the MSPCA's annual Christmas tree at the Eastfield Mall in Springfield.

TV 22 personalities, Lynn Barry and Brian Lapis, strong animal supporters, counted down the lighting amidst carrolling by a children's choir. The MSPCA located at Union Street, Springfield, provides animal sheltering and adoption for thousands of dogs and cats yearly.

"F.A.C.E.S." at Christmas

"Heather" and Santa (Jim)F.A.C.E.S. (Friends Assisting Canines With Essential Services) provided once again, an opportunity for proud pet "parents" to sit with Santa for pet photos. Every year A.W. Brown's Pet & Garden, located in East Longmeadow, MA. provides space and funding for local animal organizations and rescue group activities.

Gingerbread Homes For Animals

Gingerbread Homes For AnimalsNew York City's Central Park Dana Discovery Center was the setting for The Rational Animal Organization event, "Gingerbread Homes For Animals". On display were many original and creative gingerbread homes made by New York's master pastry chefs.This tribute to NYC's "At Risk Animals" included workshops relating to animal care and fun events for children. The Rational Animal's mission is to use the power of the media to promote the welfare of New York's at risk animals.
