Keep Your Pets Safe on the 4th of July
Fourth of July fireworks can be frightening to pets and that fear can
cause your dog or cat to panic and try to escape your house or yard.
- Please keep your pet indoors on the Fourth of July in a quiet and
isolated room with covered windows, or the basement where there are
no windows, to help it feel safe and secure.
- Turn on a fan, radio or t.v. to muffle the sounds of fireworks.
Familiar indoor sounds may help soothe your pet if alone on this noisy
holiday.
- Do NOT take your pet to fireworks displays.
- Make sure your pet has proper identification tags on in case it
does panic and escape your house.
