Spencer
This is Spencer. She came to live with us about five years ago from the SPCA in Saskatoon (Canada). She'd been there well over four weeks when I wandered in looking for a dog to join our family. The resident Vet said, "You should take a look at this dog if you want a good-natured, friendly, loving pet who won't bother your cats. In all my years as a Vet, I've never seen a better temperament in a dog." I thought, "Yeah, right... good sell job." But when I met Spencer, and she put her head on my shoulder, I was instantly in love. For the first two weeks she didn't make a dog noise. Then, one day when I said "Would you like to go for a walk?" she replied with an enthusiastic howl. Our lives will never be the same. She teaches us every day what it means to be loved.
