Muff

After having to say "see you later" to my beloved dog, Sally May, I started checking, once again, local shelters via phone and computer. My previous two adoptions were older dogs, and that was my direction - reasoning that older animals are not necessarily placed as quickly, if at all, and I wanted to try to help again. Plus my experience with my older companions had been WONDERFUL! I came upon K9finder which also listed some private adoptions....and there was Muff, an older shepherd mix, looking for a home due to an illness in the family. Though she caught my attention quite immediately, I did not act upon her then. I called and scanned more, still searching within myself as well. Should I go to a shelter, a rescue, newspaper listing, etc. I certainly found out about so many animals (not just dogs) needing homes and wishing all could be helped. Muff kept bouncing back to me. Thinking I could perhaps help her AND her family felt good in my heart. So, a couple of calls later, Muff and I became companions. Relating this brings tears, for the family illness is sad, yet through it has come another wonderful older friend for me, instant love. Plus new people, for the family and I will remain in contact; everyone seems VERY pleased. Muff is such a GREAT girl! I must add, Misty (Muff's aged "feline sister"), just joined us - yes, I was fortunate enough to be able to adopt her also....another companion and instant love again; she's GREAT too!

Thank you to everyone who tries to help all animals, therefore helping humans....
